Teen Tech Month 2017

Teen Tech Month 2017

Teen Tech Month is happening this March to help our libraries showcase the great resources and services we have to help teens succeed, demonstrating how libraries are important in extending learning beyond the classroom.

This month we're highlighting our mobile makerspace kits in free programs where teens can explore science, technology, engineering, art, math and much more. We'll be using Snap Circuits, Sphero Robots, Ozobots, Raspberry Pi, and Paper Circuits to help teens learn, create, and share.

Teens know that our libraries are here to help them have fun and explore their interests. Parents know that we are helping their teens survive school and prepare for college and 21st century careers!

Emily Williams

I was born in the Boston area, but have lived in Oklahoma for almost 20 years. I attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and then studied at the University of Oklahoma to get my Masters in Library and Information Studies. My husband and I adopted a retired racing greyhound who is actually super lazy. I paint pet portraits, read comic books, love hiking, and watch a lot of sci-fi television.
