Second Sunday Concert Series
Continues at Downtown Library
The Downtown Library invites you to enjoy the pleasure of great music the second Sunday of every month throughout the autumn.
The Second Sunday Series continues on October 10 with a concert from piano virtuoso Hyunsoon Whang. The Downtown Library is located at 300 Park Avenue and the concert will be in the 46th Star Auditorium on the 4th floor. The event is free and open to the public. Seating opens at 1:30p.m.
Ms. Whang has played around the world, including stops at New York, Europe, Tokyo and Seoul. She holds the McMahon Endowed Chair in Music at Cameron University in Lawton, OK.
A native of Korea, Ms. Whang began studying piano at the age of four and began playing public concerts when she was 12. She has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, Ravinia Festival Master Classes, Canada’s Victoria Music Festival and the Taos School of Music.
Critics have praised her “technical aplomb and unwavering sensitivity” and defined her performances as “first rate music making.”
