Reader Wins Dell Laptop Computer
From Metropolitan Library System
For most people, reading is its own reward but recently a lucky reader who had signed up for the Metropolitan Library System’s Winter ReadFest program parlayed her love of reading into a new laptop computer.
“Winter ReadFest,” said MLS Senior Services Coordinator Anita Roesler, “is a two-month long event for readers aged 55 and over that takes place in February and March every year. We began it in 2004 with a few small prizes but by our seventh year the prize list had grown considerably and our grand prize was a laptop computer generously donated by Dell Computers.”
The lucky winner is Elvonda Presley who uses the Choctaw Library.
“Elvonda was so excited with her new laptop, everyone at the Choctaw Library couldn’t help but be excited with her,” Roesler added. “Now, none of us can wait to start the program up again in 2011.”
