Intercambio Started at Del City Library

“Intercambio” is what Cultural Exchange Programs are called by students in Latin American countries.  It’s also an ongoing program at the Del City Library, 4509 S.E. 15th St, on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00p.m.

“Our version of an Intercambio is a little different,” said librarian Lindsay Egle.  “What we do is match a Spanish speaker with and English speaker.  That way, each can speak the other’s language with instant feedback about pronunciation and grammar.  We’ll have a qualified English as Second Language tutor on hand to help everyone.”

Anyone interested in the Del City Library Intercambio can call the library at 672-1377 for more information or to sign up.  Registration is necessary to make sure speakers of both languages will be on hand.

Intercambio is free and open to the public.
