Winter ReadFest Returns to Metropolitan Library System
One of Oklahoma County’s favorite cold weather traditions returns to your Metropolitan Library System February 1 through March 31.
It's The Lifetime Reader's Society's Winter ReadFest, the 2010 edition. The two-month long event is for readers aged 55 and older.
ReadFest in 2010 is like it’s been since we began it in 2004,” said MLS Senior Services Coordinator Anita Roesler. “It’s the chance for senior readers to win prizes for doing what they already love to do—read!
And we’ve lined up some great prizes this time, including books, gift cards, maybe even an IPod. Just for signing up, you get a free book bag.”
Roesler says that the rules are simple:
Visit your favorite library
—Complete the registration form
—Turn it in and receive a signup gift
—Read or listen to four books before March 31
—Sign a prize entry form at your library
“And most importantly of all,” Roesler added, “have some fun.”
Sign-up for Lifetime Reader’s Society’s Winter ReadFest 2009 begins on Feb. 1 at your favorite library. For more information, call Anita Roesler at 606-3835.
Winter ReadFest is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System and by the Library Endowment Trust.
