In the mid-1990s cult favorite cartoon show “Pinky and the Brain,” Brain, a brilliant but twisted scientist, would always ask his idiot assistant, “Pinky, are you pondering what I’m pondering?”
Teens who ponder the wonders of science can do so at the Midwest City Library, 8143 E. Reno, on Mondays and Saturdays when they attend a series of Mad Scientist Lab programs. The Monday series are from 4:30-5:15p.m., and the Saturday programs are from 3:30-4:15p.m. All are free.
“We’ve presented Mad Scientist Labs before,” said librarian Kristin Williamson, “and they’ve been so popular we’ve had to add sessions. Potential scientists aged 6 to 12 years can explore and learn about astronomy, chemistry, geography and zoology.”
Registration is recommended so the library will be sure to have enough supplies for everyone. Call ahead at 732-4828.
