Speed dating allows you to meet a lot of people of the opposite sex in a short amount of time. If you click with one of them, it could be the beginning of a new companionship, or even the start of a grand romance.
Book lovers who are interested in giving speed dating a try can visit the Downtown Library, 300 Park Avenue, to check out who’s there.
“Speed dating has been in existence for around 20 years now, and it’s growing in popularity all the time,” said Downtown Library Events Coordinator Tera McAmis. “There are several speed dating events that take place in Oklahoma City. Ours is aimed at people who read or use the library in other ways. We encourage folks to come prepared to chat about a book they really love, or really hate, as an ice breaker. It’s a method that works really well.”
Three speed dating events are planned for Thursday evenings at the Downtown Library in October. October 4 is for ages 30-40. October 11 is for ages 41-55, and October 18 is for ages 56 and over. All sessions begin at 6:00 p.m.
